Oliver Glass, PhD

Director of Research for Duke Health and Wellness

He has diverse research interests ranging from his past studies on breast cancer therapeutics to his current and future studies on the utilization of lifestyle interventions in patients with Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. Dr. Glass’ research has been published in the British Journal of Cancer, Clinical Advancers in Hematology and Oncology, Hepatology Communications, Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice, and the Journal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology.”….He is a member of American Association for Cancer Research, European Association for the Study of Liver, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, Society of Integrative Oncology, Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health, and Sigma XI.

Dr. Glass is the recipient of the prestigious Duke University Chancellor Scholarship, AACR Aflac Scholar-in-Training award, and the AACR Susan G. Komen Scholar-in-Training award for his work in exercise-oncology.

He is an associate member of AACR, a member of the Society of Integrative Oncology, Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health, and Sigma XI.

Dr. Glass attended The Ohio State University as an Honors and Scholar student from 2000-2005 where he earned his B.S. in Molecular Genetics. He received his Ph.D. in 2015 from Duke University in the Department of Pathology where he studied the effects of exercise on tumor biology and cancer progression.
